Max has a great voice and brings the Word to Life. I listen to the
Bible on my iPod video or from my CD drive and use the Blue Letter
Bible to study with the tools available below. I find that the
Phrase search, Concordance, and using the Strong's for study at the
same time is very effective for study. I would
like to share with you a podcasts that is well worth the
download and hard drive space. If you are using iTunes, look
for the podcasts: Pray-As-You-Go. This is a blessing 5 days a
week if you subscribe to it. |
| I've worked many years on converting
the Bible to 8 bit mono wav and scanning the text of the Apocrypha
into my computer and converting it into mp3 for listening. I now
have the complete Bible on a 1 GB SD Memory Card. All the years this
took, and now the iPod can handle the entire job in full stereo at
high bit rate. From the Blue Letter Bible click on the ORiley Home
Logo to return or use the back button. Continued below . . . |
I've been asked two questions a number of times
concerning Heaven.
1: "Will we recognize our loved ones who have gone to Heaven"? The disciples
did not live in the times of Moses or Elijah. Mathew 17
17:1 * * After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and led
them up a high mountain by themselves. 17:2 * And he was transfigured before
them; his face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light. 17:3 *
And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, conversing with him. 17:4 Then
Peter said to Jesus in reply, "Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I
will make three tents * here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
17:5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud cast a shadow over
them, * then from the cloud came a voice that said, "This is my beloved Son,
with whom I am well pleased; listen to him." 17:6 * When the disciples heard
this, they fell prostrate and were very much afraid. 17:7 But Jesus came and
touched them, saying, "Rise, and do not be afraid." 17:8 And when the disciples
raised their eyes, they saw no one else but Jesus alone.
2: "Will our pets go to heaven"? Isaiah 11
11:6 * Then the wolf shall be a guest of the lamb, and the leopard shall lie
down with the kid; The calf and the young lion shall browse together, with a
little child to guide them. 11:7 The cow and the bear shall be neighbors,
together their young shall rest; the lion shall eat hay like the ox. 11:8 The
baby shall play by the cobra's den, and the child lay his hand on the adder's
lair.
