The Starved Rock Chapter of the Coalition for Citizens with Disabilities in Illinois will be awarding a grant of $300.00 to individuals with disabilities who meet pre-established criteria and reside in LaSalle  County. This grant money may be distributed to one or more persons. For more information regarding the grant and to request an application . . . The Coalition is a non-profit, grassroots organization dedicated to providing a united voice for the rights ad equality of individuals with disabilities in Illinois. Its monthly public meetings are held at the Community Hospital Of Ottawa at 10 a.m. on the last Saturday of each month. . . .

Sheryl Sites of Sandwich was selected as the first recipient of a $300.00 grant award by the Starved Rock Chapter of Coalitions of the Citizens with Disabilities in Illinois. This is the first year the Starved Rock Chapter of the CCDI established a grant for LaSalle County residents with disabilities who meet pre-established criteria. Sheryl, her brother Jeffery, her parents Dale and Deanna, and a family friend Jayne Harpling, were honored at the group's December meeting.
